Terms and conditions InnovaPrime.

Objective: To create a space where our colleagues can present and propose innovative ideas that help solve problems (or streamline new procedures), to continue developing a strategic, competitive, and synergistic organization.

This Project is expected to:

  • Identify and develop future leaders within the company,
  • Involve colleagues to innovate in daily work,
  • Promote a listening approach to initiatives and ideas on an ongoing basis in process improvement
  • Empower teams for customer/process/quality-focused innovation, Communication/company values
  • Strengthen managerial support for innovation,
  • Foster a culture of innovation within Prime Meats

Categories of ideas that are evaluated at the event:

  • Productivity: This category focuses on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. It involves finding innovative ways to optimize processes, reduce errors/returns/etc., and improve the overall output of company resources, including labor, time, and materials.
  • Customer Service: This category emphasizes improving customer experience and satisfaction. It includes strategies to improve the quality of interactions, streamline service delivery, and better meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Quality of Products: This category focuses on ensuring and raising the standards of the products offered. These are initiatives that aim to maintain or improve the consistency, safety, freshness, and overall quality of the product, ensuring that they meet both regulatory standards and customer expectations.
  • Internal Communication: This category focuses on the effectiveness of communication within the company. It encompasses efforts to improve information flow, collaboration, and transparency between teams and departments, leading to better coordination and alignment across the organization.

Eligibility criteria for participation in the contest:

  • InnovaPrime is a program for all Prime Meats employees who have positions lower than or equal to “Supervisor” in any of its locations: USA, Colombia, and Mexico, with the exception of the members of the evaluation committee.
  • All ideas must be submitted individually (with the option of guidance from the facilitator), group ideas are not allowed.

Dates and stages of the contest:

  • Initial Communication: Campaign of program begins
  • Counseling phase with the facilitators: from September 23 to October 4, 2024.
  • Reception: the phase of receiving ideas runs from September 30 to October 9, 2024.
  • Analysis, editing and clarification of ideas, from October 14 to 18, 2024.
  • Evaluation and selection of ideas of finalists from October 21 to 23, 2024.
  • Notification: preliminary results will be reported between October 24 and 25, 2024
  • Presentations: the phase of presentations to the evaluation committee runs from October 28 to November 1, 2024.
  • Awards: the awards to the winners will be made during the Prime Meats POSADA.

Entry Instructions, Rules & Conditions

  • All Prime meats colleagues are invited to participate except for the members of the evaluation committee, members with positions of Manager or higher are also excluded from participating.
  • Colleagues who wish to participate in InnovaPrime must review their idea(s) with a facilitator of their choice, prior to registration. The collaborator is free to select the facilitator that suits them best, subject to the facilitator’s time availability.
  • Facilitators: List of all facilitators can be found in the Innovaprime website.
  • The idea to be submitted must be submitted through the established form that you can find at https://innovaprime.primemeatsusa.com
  • The forms are only received virtually through the https://innovaprime.primemeatsusa.com platform if for any reason a colleague does not have access to the electronic means to participate, they must approach their facilitator, direct supervisor, manager or HC staff to request support in the application of ideas.
  • If two participants present the same or very similar ideas, the idea that was first presented on the platform will be considered.
  • Colleagues can participate with as many ideas as they want in any of the available categories.
  • The participants who are selected as finalists must present their idea to the evaluation committee during the established period in order to expand in detail the idea presented and facilitate the process of selecting the winners.

Selection and evaluation criteria for finalists and winners:

The coordinating team will review all the ideas presented, evaluating them according to the 5 main criterias, and will select the best proposals.             

The main criteria are:

  • Feasibility: that the idea can be carried out and that it is within the capabilities of the company.
  • Benefit: degree of contribution to the well-being of the company, its people, customers, or the environment and that the idea solves or affects a real need.
  • Originality: that the idea does not exist in our company.
  • Impact: The idea has a high impact on the company’s results and contributes to its growth.
  • Investment: It does not require a large investment and can be developed with internal resources.

In the first instance, the 10 finalists will be chosen, then the evaluation committee is in charge of selecting the winners, after seeing the presentation of each of the finalists and receiving the individual report on their idea, based on the previously mentioned criteria.

Definitions of work teams:

  • Innovaprime Coordinating Team: they are responsible for filtering the best ideas to be evaluated by the Evaluation Committee. It is composed of the human capital team led by Sira Rodriguez -Human Capital Manager.
  • InnovaPrime Evaluation Committee: they are responsible for evaluating the best ideas and selecting the winners or finalists. It is composed of Bernardo Bocanegra – President, Daniel Arcila – CEO, Leonel Orellana – VP of Operations, Omar Alvarez – VP of Sales Core Business, Victor Dander – VP of Business Development Jovani Guzman, Business Development Manager.
  • InnovaPrime Facilitators: They are responsible for advising the participants, before the ideas are registered on the platform.

What happens in case of ties:

In the event that two ideas are exceptional and a winner cannot be defined, the evaluation committee will have total discretion to decide the final result of the situation.

Training for finalists:

The finalists will go through a process of training and accompaniment with the facilitators, so that the idea can be successful in its formulation and implementation.

Nature and conditions of the prizes:

The 3 best ideas will be awarded. Each of the 3 winners will receive a check for $2,500 USD. Their respective facilitators will also receive a check for $500 USD.

Conditions of delivery of the prizes.

The prize will be awarded no later than one calendar week after the award event.

Image rights and consent to their use:

During the award event there is the possibility that the Human Capital team takes photos or records of the ceremony, when participating in the event, the colleague accepts the use of his image for internal use of the company.

Intellectual property and economic rights:

By participating, it is understood that you voluntarily assign the intellectual property and consequential economic rights of your idea to Prime Meats.

Conditions of disqualification or exclusion:

  • Those responsible reserve the right to disqualify any participant, unilaterally and irrevocably, who breaches or violates these terms and conditions, in addition to the fact that throughout the contest the participants must comply with the internal work regulations and failure to comply with these may also lead to disqualification.
  • In the event that the winning or finalist partner leaves the company, he or she will not be able to continue implementing the idea.

Event location:

The event is held primarily virtually and with no limitations on participation by location. However, the main headquarters where most of the leaders and members of the two committees are located will be at 2825 Breckinridge Boulevard, Duluth Georgia United States of America.

Extension, suspension or cancellation of the event:

In the event of a force majeure event, those responsible will notify the participants of the modifications, cancellation or rescheduling of the event, award or other condition or stage that is affected.

 Acceptance of terms and conditions:

The participant accepts the terms and conditions described in this document at the time of sending his/her idea through the virtual platform provided.
